Our Story

Africa has one of the youngest populations in the world. At the same time, technology is reshaping education, employment, entrepreneurship, and global competitiveness. Yet many children, youths, women, and underserved communities lack access to structured digital training and career guidance.

DESDAI was created to:

What We Do

1. Digital Skills for Schools

Through our flagship program, Digital Spark Africa, we bring free tech seminars and hands-on programs directly into classrooms.

We organize interactive sessions that teach students everything about the digital world, how to enter tech, build careers, explore opportunities, choose the right courses of study, and develop the skills needed to thrive in today’s digital age.

Students learn about:

2. Youth & Women Tech Empowerment

We engage participants in acquiring IT and tech proficiency skills for the purpose of securing well-paying employment in both local and global markets.

3. Tech Scholarship in Africa

To expand access even further, DESDAI runs Tech Scholarship in Africa a partially funded tech and digital skills scholarship program created to help more Africans build successful careers in technology.

This scholarship:

  • Reduces financial barriers to training
  • Provides practical, hands-on learning
  • Takes learners from beginner to advanced levels
  • Runs both physical classes and online/virtual sessions
  • Focuses on employability and industry readiness

Through this initiative, we are reducing unemployment by helping youths and women gain industry-relevant digital skills and internship exposure.
